Aviation Explorers
~Sorbet Sunrise~
Gorgeous KitFox brings on the rising sun at Fort DeSoto Beach. There's only one thing more beautiful than this plane and this perfect moment, and that is the kids of the Birmingham Aviation Explorers created this piece of art work. The group built this plane from the ground up: welding the metal, cutting and gluing the ceconite, mounting the engine, calibrating, painting, etc. It was more than a project--it was a dream that took flight. Photographing her was my pleasure.
The kids built the project and were to raffle her off at Sun N Fun 2011. Tornadoes ripped through the field at Sun N Fun, leaving wreck and ruin. This beautiful KitFox was destroyed. The devastation followed this group when they returned to Birmingham with more tornadoes that damaged her yet again. I'd like to ask your help in even the smallest of donations for these kids to allow them to rebuild their dream again. Please contact them at:

Look for them at Osh Gosh. Help keep the dream alive and support this worthy cause for the kids who put their hearts and souls into creating this once beautiful flying machine.
